Eric Brundick

Welcome to my personal webpage. This page intends to explain myself in a brief fashion. Feel free to email me at the address posted at the bottom of the page.

About me...

Currently I am a 17 year old graduated student from Westminster, Maryland in the USA. I am now an alumni from Westminster High School. On the most part I am a computer geek, especially in my spare time. Right now I am attending my first semester at Carroll Community College, going for an Associates of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems (AAS.CIS)

My interests...

Computers. I absolutely LOVE computers! The computer related stuff I like is better broken down into categories:
- Programming. Writing programs for UNIX systems in the C programming language is a good pasttime/hobby of mine.
- Internet technology. More off the side I do occasionally study to understand how the Internet works and the emerging technologies behind it.
- Net Tech. At my school I was a Student Network Technician, and I helped to keep the school's computers in working order.
- Chatting. I often chat using Internet Relay Chat (IRC) on EFnet. You'll find me on channel #cronus. Try using irc.lightning.net for a good EFnet IRC server.
- Digital audio. I have recently become an MP3 fanatic. I always have some music coming out of my computer-connected speakers. My speakers never shut up. :-)
- Linux. As you may have gathered from my Programming interests, I am a UNIX fanatic/enthusiast. Linux namely. My PC is a dedicated Linux system. Windows 95/98/NT will never be on this system.
- Electronic mail. I am subscribed to several email mailing lists. Checking and sending email is a chore to me.
Music. Mostly related to my Digital audio fixation, I am a heavy music listener. Some of my favorite bands:
- Rammstein. Although I don't know German, their music is kicking cool.
- The Cure. An all-time favorite band from since I was in 6th grade. Very emotional music!
Scouts. I have been a scout since I was in 2nd grade. Going on camping trips and stuff has been great fun.
Science. Understanding how the universe works has been one of my biggest fascinations.

Online friends...

Over the past couple years I've come to know many people on the Internet.

Damacus. This is one awesome d00d from Illinois who I've known from UNIX shell accounts, IRC, and have talked to on the phone before.

Friends from my first chat ever, the GeoCities HTML chats:

Mannanan. An old-time friend from the Geocities chats.
PaM. Another friend from the old Geochats. She lives in Beltsville, MD from what I understand.
Ryan. A fellow computer nerd. He is from Florida. Definitely one of my oldest Geochat friends.
Smilax. He and I still chat occasionally on my Linux system. I introduced him to Linux and UNIX in general.

Friends from shell accounts and Internet Relay Chat:
- Netscan. Netscan, aka Christopher Tessone is a cool friend of mine. Here is his homepage.
- Daisy. She is a #statik regular visitor from Virginia. All around great gal. Although I don't talk to her much anymore, since I split #statik and co-created #cronus.
- Damacus. I've already mentioned him, but I'd just like to signify that he introduced me to #statik.
- psych0sys. A rather interesting fella. He's from Illinois just like most of my IRC friends.
- Kent. He's the administrator of mercury.rh.imsa.edu. He's a pretty cool person--lenient on how I use his system :) Ok well, I don't really know him that well, so what am I talking about :)
- ceecee. She's cool. She gave me a shell account on her Linux system. :-)
- galaxy. She's also cool. She's just fun to talk to in #cronus.
- ShadoWolf. H3llz j34h d00d, ShadoWolf is da bomb. My Quake 2 mentor, a Quake 2 god and all around kickass d00d. Shadow, the pimp of modern day supercomputers.
Friends from other chats:
- The Pedestrian. From the Webnautics Restaurant chat, this guy is a very cool person. Always rebellious against the Webnautics chats.
- Liz. Had to put her name in here. :-)
